Martin Horwood, Cheltenham’s MP since 2005 and Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for the town, has welcomed the publication of the Liberal Democrat election manifesto today.
The Liberal Democrats have specifically set out four clear priorities with the key message of fairness. Liberal Democrats offer proposals for fair taxes, a fair chance for every child, a fair economy, and a fair deal by cleaning up politics.
Martin said ‘I am delighted that the Lib Dems have set out clear election commitments to the electorate. Under Lib Dem plans every income tax payer will save £700 and those earning £10,000 or less will be taken out of income tax altogether. But unlike the other parties we have fully costed our tax cut and said how we would pay for it.’
